UNDER SECRETARY MARTHA KANTER TO GIVE REMARKS AT HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT OF THE ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will give opening remarks at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund’s (APIASF) annual Higher Education Summit at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, in Washington, D.C.

 

Entitled “Leveraging Diversity to Meet the President’s 2020 Goal,” Kanter will encourage the Asia and Pacific Islander community to provide leadership in reaching the college completion goal, discussing what they have to gain, as well as contribute, as America’s fastest growing population — representing over 30 languages and cultures.

 

The summit will include panels and roundtable discussions around its theme, “Advancing the Democratic Mission of Higher Education: The Relevance of Asian American & Pacific Islanders.”
