SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Attention: fearless fairgoers. Illinois State Fair Mega Passes are now available for purchase.
A Mega Pass is a ticket for an unlimited number of rides in Adventure Village and the Carnival Midway all ten days of the fair plus Preview Night. It does not, however, include admission to the fair or rides on the Tram, Giant Slide and Sky Glide.
The passes are being sold in the Emmerson Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds in the Mega Pass Office. They can be purchased for $55 until July 16, at which time the price will increase to $65. The Mega Pass Office accepts cash and credit cards, but not personal checks.
The office is open weekdays, except holidays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will remain open until 6 p.m. from July 9 to July 13 and offer fairgoers a last chance to buy Mega Passes for the discounted price of $55 Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Admission Booklets also are available for purchase in the Mega Pass Office. The booklet contains ten admissions to the fair and is a great addition to a Mega Pass purchase. An adult booklet costs $45, a savings of $25 compared to the cost of ten, single-day admissions. The booklet for children and senior citizens costs $20, or $10 less than the regular cost of admission.
The Illinois State Fair will be held Aug. 6-19.
